DIDN'T YOU LOVE IT???
I'll be the first to admit that I caught onto the HSM train way later than everyone else, like last Thursday to be exact when I FINALLY saw the originial one for the first time. And yes, I thoroughly enjoyed it like all parents do when watching something intended for their children.
Um, yeah, something happened between HSM1 and HSM2.
That would be Zac Efrom growing up and suddenly looking (dare I say it!) HOT.
I know, I know, I could almost be his mother which makes me want to gag, but if Demi and Ashton can do it...
I think part of why I so enjoyed the second one is because it's much more about the sweet relationship between Troy and Gabriella and I'm nothing if not a total sucker for first loves. And the fact that they are really together makes it so much better. (This would be the true tweener in me coming out.)
The kids and I watched it last night and I'm not too proud to say that by 8 am this morning, I had already re-watched my favorite scenes. The music is fun, the story is sweet, and oh yeah, Efron is hot, in a purely little-boy, could-be-my-neighbor's- kid kind of way.
Or not.

Seriously!!! I loved High School Musical 2 just as much as the first. And the squeeling, giddy fourteen year old that really lives inside this body has the biggest school girl crush on Zac Efron too! Isn't he so adorable!!!!! I can't wait for Hairspray to come on DVD so I can have 3 fantastic reasons to stare at him! I also love that he and Vanessa are a real couple. They are just too cute.
How old are you girls?? I haven't quite gotten into the craze that 17 million other americans have gotten into. But I am thoroughly glad to see that teen crushes don't die out, even in your 30s!
I must say I'm a fan of HSM 1 & 2. They are cute movies and the songs are sooo catchy. I'm a big huge fan of Zac Efron too. I may have to go by a BOP magazine so I can put his picture on my wall! :) I actually made Jared watch it with us the other night. If the guys at his work found out, I think he would get his man card taken away.
I haven't seen either... mostly because we don't have Disney Chanel. Are they on DVD?? It sounds like something I would enjoy :) And even though I haven't seen the movies, how could you NOT NOTICE Efron?! Way super cute :D
I think the movies are great too, and something I really don't mind having on or watching with my kids. Zac is definitely growing up and looking pretty cute.
Jocelyn has posters of him ALL over her room, and she would practically die if she saw the one you have posted. Dang!
I haven't seen the second one- since, of course, we disconnected cable the day it came out.
So, when I finally see it- I'll let you know what I think.
I thought I'd jump on the band wagon a little late. I've never seen either one and I know Ally would love it so we've set the DVR to record HSM on Sunday but can't find HSM2 anywhere on the guide. Do you know when it's playing again?
Cute movies, I don't think I would have appreciated them as much when I was younger because of the cheese factor. I think I liked the music better in the first one, but enjoyed the newest one as well.

I can't believe that nobody posted about HSM2 either. I'm glad I found your post! I just watched it again tonight! It reminds me of a G-Rated Dirty Dancing! I like Gabriella and think she and Troy are a cute couple!!
I have been wondering if anybody was going to post about it!! I too was a late HSM fan and we (Macy and I) were counting down the days til HSM2 came out, but....we don't have Disney. I still haven't seen it, she's just seeing it tonight at her cousin's. That picture of Zac is H.O.T. HOT!
