I Can't Concentrate! I'm All Jacked Up On Mt. Dew!

Wednesday was perfection.

Happy kids off to school.

Gracious friends willing to babysit.

Great girlfriends on a fun drive to the city.

Dinner at the best restaurant.

And this amazing artist, singing his heart out for two hours.

We had an AWESOME time. The drive over was hysterical, with Lindsay being all pregnant on us and acting, well, rather un-Lindsay like. Tiffani and I had a great time laughing at her cause that's how we roll.
When we got to Seattle, we met my mom and headed to Seattle Center to catch the Monorail. (Another first for Tiffani!) We went straight to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and oddly, Lindsay's mood picked right up. She became downright giddy looking over the menu, and as the color returned to her face, the real Linds joined us. Even she had to laugh at her reaction to the food before us. Since we all wanted to eat everything in sight, we shareed food, so we dined collectively on Avocado Eggrolls, Chicken Fettucini with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Lemon Picatta Chicken. D-I-V-I-N-E. We capped off our meal with a piece of Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake and the original cheesecake with fresh strawberries. My badonkadonk is packing a few extra pounds this Labor Day BUT OH WELL. I'm promised a skinny body in the afterlife.

Next we headed back over to Seattle Center where we eagerly awaited the concert. To say that we were excited is an understatement. It was like Beatlemania. Or the first NKOTB concert. Or Santa Claus handing out passes to the Gumdrop Forest on the Polar Express while stopping at Toys-R-Us with giftcards for everyone. We were STOKED.
When we found our seats, right on the floor in the 20th row, we couldn't believe our luck at such a stellar view of the stage. As usual, I chatted up a few strangers sitting around us and one such lady, who spent the whole pre-show telling her friend about her cats (not that there's anything wrong with that) actually leaned down during Michael's opening number to tell me that it would be okay. Apparently my reaction to this beautiful man with a beautiful voice was a bit too much for her.

I'm over it.

We spent the next two hours screaming and yelling and having a blast. His show was amazing, completely stunning, yummy, incredible and amazing. His family was in the audience and it made it fun watching him perform for them. He even sang Happy Birthday to his Grandma and came down off the stage to present her with a cupcake and a candle.
I heart him. Big time.

Seriously.

I swooned.
The only bad thing about the concert is that it flew by and he didn't sing my favorite song off the new album which is Lost, but I forgive him. Because it was the first day of school and all the logistics it took to get us to the concert, we drove home afterwards which, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Actually, it was fine because Tiffani was crazy wired and she kept me awake the whole three hours. Lindsay, on the other hand, repeatedly dozed off only to awake suddenly and shout out something random like "I know! My brother smells the same way!"

HILARIOUS.

We got home around 3:15 in the morning and I never made it to sleep so I was a tired, tired, girl. (See crabby and whiny.) But it was worth it and I can't wait to do it again next year.
And a big THANK YOU to my mom for getting us the tickets, telling us where to park (kind of!) and sharing her food with us. As always, you were great!

I was... sorry I'm supposed to be checking on a recipe for dinner before I leave for church and I got sidetracked... that'll teach me to invite people over when I have nothing in the house to cook with.

This whole post had me waxing nostalgic. It also got me all wired up again just thinking about it all!!! Lindsay was quite hilarious, especially when the food was brought out!

The concert was AH-MAZING! There's no other word for it. I've never had so much fun screaming and hollering in my life! I love that your mom is so willing to run up to total strangers and find out info for us. Thanks Anne! I'm so glad she came. I had a blast with her.

The ride home...Are you still high on caffiene? I still can't believe how much pop you drank! I too loved Lindsay popping up out of a dead sleep and jumping in on the conversation randomly. So stinkin' funny.

Thanks for the amazingly fun day ladies!

All I have left to say is, WOOOOO-HOOOOO!

Yeah, I did this template myself. I wish my slideshow was going the other way but I couldn't figure it out. Oh well. It works.

It's awesome that you guys were able to go, but sucks that you had to drive home that night. He really does put on the best show EVER doesn't he?

Can't wait to see him again, soon!

It sounds like you girls had a fun and memorable trip! No offense to my husband but my Michael concerts with the girls are much more fun (although in Dallas I left him to go to the front of the stage and I would just look back at him and he would be all smiles - he let me do my own thing and it was pretty cool).

I'm so glad you guys had such a blast. Those crazy girls' only road trips where eveyone lets loose and just laughs and laughs are the best. What wonderful memories you guys will have!
