Yeah, it didn't work.
When I picked her up from school, Ms. Stacia was carrying her to the car (unaware of my intentions) and Hannah was happy as a lark. I think next time I'll be more prepared and buy some of the most hideous slippers on the planet and make her wear them instead. Maybe that will do it.
In other news, I discovered something truly evil yesterday. And I was running around in the morning before school with two extra kids in tow, I neglected to eat breakfast. So after I dropped everyone off at school, and knowing I had errands to run, I decided to pick something up to eat. I initially went to Starbucks to get a toasted bagel but the line there was literally a thousand cars long, so I hopped over the McDonald's.
Now, those of you who know me know I am not a breakfast food kind of gal. I would rather have leftover lasagna for breakfast than eggs and toast, so this always poses a problem for me. I do, however, enjoy a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit from Mickey D's the two times a year I have one. So that's what I ordered but as I pulled away and unwrapped my food, I discovered a Sausage McMuffin instead. Because I was starving, I dug right in.
Um, yum.
It was so tasty! There was something about the combo of processed cheese, processed sausage and processed egg that hit the spot and I am currently eating another one this morning. I know this has to stop but since I'm allowed two a year, I figured I'd just have them back to back. And I'm subbing for Brad today so I really didn't have time to eat breakfast.
I'll tell you what....I'm lovin' it.

Karen, I actually prefer the ham McMuffin, and unfortunately have had a few more than two a year, hence my battle with the bulge! They are delicious! That creamy processed cheese gets me every time!
I seem to remember trying to force you to have one of these last summer....if only you would listen to your sister in law once in a while. They are absolutely delicious. That is my favorite sandwich. Tiff likes the Bacon, egg and cheese one, but I definately like the Sausage better!
I'm not a big McD's person... but I do love their breakfast stuff! The breakfast burrito thing is a personal favorite...
My Dad said that if you are going to have four kids, you better get used to not being able to find anything...it's a losing battle! Also, I despise McDonalds, their food, the fat, and what they stand for (except the Ronald McDonald House of course). But, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Egg McMuffin. I could eat three in one sitting-EVERY DAY. So, happy McBreakfast McKaren, and have a Mchappy Mcday!
not a fan of the mcmuffin over hear, but if you switch it out for a biscuit, I'm your girl. That sounds so good right now.
Sometimes there's nothing that hits the spot like greasy, cheesy goodness in the morning. When I was pregnant with Kendle, most of my doctor's apts. were in the morning and I would frequently swing by the golden arches for a breakfast sandwhich and orange juice. Ah, those were the days.
I love the Sausage McMuffin w/out the egg. Oh the way that processed cheese gets to me! That is why I only can eat one or two a year also ;)
Ba da da da da...
It's no secret that if they deep-fried a shoe and put it in a McDonald's bag, I'd eat it, but I LOVE the regular egg McMuffin (ham, not sausage.) However, I haven't eaten one since they introduced the.....drumroll.....
McGriddles!!! Holy crap, syrup-soaked bread, are you kidding me? Karen, try a McGriddle...you'll never go back.
Did Hannah ever find her shoes? I was playing the whole thing...."I am so sorry you couldn't find your shoes....maybe next time you should put them in your cubby and then you can find them!" She said..."I did put them in my cubby, Ms. kristen" She was really serious! I kept on trying to get her to confess that she didn't put them away....she wouldn't budge? So funny! I was hoping it would work so I could do that to my children!
I think I've only ever eaten breakfast at McD's a few times...Guess I'll have to swing by sometime to try some "processed cheesy goodness".
Sorry to hear the Shoeless Hannah Marissa plan backfired. Still makes for a wonderful story.
That made me laugh, Alicia! I don't know what it is, but when I'm pregnant, normal food rules for me go out the window. Things that I usually hate I suddenly love when I'm pregnant. Who knows, maybe the Sausage McMuffin will be your new craving.
I had to laugh out loud with that one too Alicia.
McGriddles are awesome, but after reading the nutrition value on those (not that the sausage is much better, but hey...) I HAD TO STOP!
