Kelly left yesterday. I was very sad. She spoiled me rotten, showing up on Thursday with a huge cooler of food and cooking and cleaning for three solid days. She even helped me tackle the huge job of going through the bags and bins of clothing that we have been given for sweet Baby J Thanks Megan! Thanks Jen!) and I feel like I was finally able to put all my nesting powers to use. It was wonderful.
Kelly and I have known each other for thirty years. Can you believe that? She is way, way older than me, registering in at a solid 36 years, but for little young me, it's bizarre to have known someone for that long. Bizarre and rockin, that is.
Kelly makes me laugh. She says the funniest things and I literally have to hold onto the monster belly and chuckle away. She was commenting on the gigantic growth that is my stomach and said that we should invent a contraption to help hold up the belly for me. She aptly titled it the "Baby Bjorn Before You're Born." Yeah, I nearly peed.
The best thing about Kelly is that she is so compassionate and caring, she practically takes on your pain as her own, and is so sympathetic that it made me feel better just knowing she was so concerned about me. She is priceless, a one of a kind friend, and I'm now more indebted to her than ever.
