A Story

My husband was invited to go for an early morning bike ride this morning.

"I want to let my wife sleep in," my sweet husband told his friends, "as she has had a hard night with a fussy baby."

The other husbands tried to lead him astray, taunting him with "wake her! wake her! We need to go now!"

But my kind husband stood firm, explaining that he wanted me to rest so I could enjoy my day. He even encouraged them to go without him, and risked missing the ride, but he stood firm in letting me sleep.

The other husbands would have woken their wives.

But not mine!

He is divine.

And I am rested.

*In other news, we returned from a quick trip to Boise late Tuesday, which is why I have been MIA. We had a delightful time, with cousins playing nonstop and the two newest cousins, born just 14 hours apart, reminding us all why we never want to personally experience the miracle of twins. IT. WAS. INSANE. If one wasn't crying, the other was and it alternated off and on for 5 days. But we had a great time despite it all. Thanks Boise for another great visit.

*My girlfriend Christy is coming tomorrow and I am so excited. She is supremely fun and newly pregnant and I can't wait to spoil her rotten.

*Spence is headed to grandma's next week for his special summer trip and they are headed to a Mariner's game. He can hardly wait!

*Finally, to wrap up next week, we are all headed to Chelan for a few days of fun in the sun. Have I mentioned that I love summer?

*And believe it or not, sweet Austin is 6 weeks old. Where has the time gone? He is a little ball of chubby perfection.

Enjoy the next few weeks of freedom with the kiddos!

I can't believe all the fun you are having with a new baby. You are kicking the summer great. I am so amazed. Have fun with that girlfriend of yours. I can only imagine the laughter roaring over there. Your husband is a clear superstar. Love it.

What an awesome hubby to let you sleep and enjoy your morning. Have a great rest of your summer I am so jealous, your husband has the greatest work schedule.

Glad you had fun in Boise.

Okay, Brad, you get the awesome husband award! But, was there an ulterior motive in wanting Karen "rested?" Austin is 6 weeks you know and usually that's when you get the green light....

Congratulations to Christy! I didn't realize that she is expecting again, but I am SO happy for her!

Seriously Linds, my thoughts EXACTLY!

Although the Brick Breaker Master is a sweet and thoughtful man, he is still a man.

I am so excited. I still can't believe all the traveling you have done with such a new baby. Is that a tent. I am such a control freak I don't do anything till at least 3-4 mo.

You guys are cracking me up here.

So, so thrilled for Christy!! Hope you girls had a fun weekend.

I'm stoked I'll get to see Spence on Tuesday. Nick and Nolan are equally as thrilled.

Way to go Brad- even if you have ulterior motives you still rock!

Love ya Karen!
