Sick

Yesterday at about 6, I felt the beginnings of nasty little bug burrowing it's way into my sinuses. By midnight, it was a full blown raging sinus infection, complete with aching throat, horrid headache, and completely plugged nostrils.

My husband has meetings today.

My kids have early release.

My car is out of gas.

I've had no sleep and need to go to the grocery store.

Boo-hoo for me.

I hate being sick. I hate Early Release and I hate it when my husband is gone. Been here and doing this. Good luck! I hope you feel better soon!

Our kids have been sick too, I'm keeping Kendle home today which is very rare. There is some nasty stuff going around, the coughing is driving me insane. I really hope you start feeling better soon. It's the pits as a mom to be feeling yucky.

Oh Karen, my heart goes out to you. Exactly one week ago today, I was exactly where you are, (except the early release part) and it sucks.

The only thing I can offer you is this idea...have you ever tried a sinus cleanse? I started using mine as soon as the nasty bug hit me and I feel like it significantly helped. Call if you have any questions.

Get better soon!

So sorry Karen. I hate early release, too. And I really hate it when my car is out of gas!! Maybe Brad will surprise you, he's been known to do that, hasn't he? Hope you feel better soon:)

I feel your pain, my dear! I'm finishing up my round of antibiotics for the same thing. Yesterday was the first day in 2 1/2 weeks where I wasn't a snot-dripping, kleenex-wielding, raging you-know-what to my students. In fact, I've only blown my nose once today! It's a miracle!

Just get a Nettie Pot. Doesn't Oprah have one?

Get yourself some drugs, girl! Mucinex D is my secret weapon... Gross sounding name, but the stuff is so good they hide it in the pharmacy even though you don't need a prescription for it.

(OK... Meth manufacturers are the real reason they hide it in the pharmacy, but the stuff IS magic!)

Trust me. This is almost as solid as my advice about salt and pepper on your mac and cheese...

I have to agree with anonymous, Mucinex D is good stuff, although the name is gross.

That is no fun, I hope you feel better soon.

I hear yeah, I think your bug flew over here and has bitten me with the nasty headache and ear pressure. Hope you feel better.

Emergen-C! Great stuff! Will give you energy. Won't make the snot go away. Drink loads of H2O and hang in there.

I'm sick too and it SUCKS! The very best thing for a stuffed nose that you can't breathe through is the nasal spray 4-WAY!!!! I love it! It's a white bottle with red lettering. It works in just a few minutes, it's amazing!

Hope you feel better soon. I have been lucky enough to be able to mostly just hide away at home and try to feel better. Hope your day flies by!

How sad! I hate being sick. ESPECIALLY because everything still has to be done, and you still have to do it. Too bad you can't actually take a sick day as a mom. I was suffering from mastitis over the weekend, and you better believe I was still cleaning and cooking dinner. Lame.

p.s. Try zicam! The stuff is awesome!

If you hadn't quit eating donuts you would not be sick. Trust me I know. So I don't feel sorry for you. BRING BACK THE DONUT FRIDAY!!
