The Cutest Surgical Patient Ever

Once again, Austin did wonderfully during yesterday's surgery. Unfortunately, he is having a harder time with recovery. He seems to be in quite a bit more pain than last time and had a pretty hard time coming out of anesthesia yesterday. I guess a 10 inch incision will do that! We've spent most of our time curled up on the couch watching every Baby Einstein video we can get our hands on. It's sad to see my little one struggling but the thought that keeps running through my head is "it could have been so much worse." I am so completely grateful that it was only a big hairy mole that brought us to Children's and nothing more serious.

Thanks for your prayers. We felt them.

Snuggle away, little man. Let your sweet mama love on you and cuddle you to your heart's content.

I'm so glad everything turned out okay, and I hope Austin is feeling better soon.

10 inches!?! They remove appendixes with smaller incisions than that! I hope he recovers soon! and that you can get some rest, too!

I hope that he does better over the next few weeks. How lucky that you were able to get this all done before school starts. You look great.

Ok, you are right, it doesn'at get much cuter. It sounds like he was in the perfect place, snuggled in his parents arms. We are sending him get well thoughts!

Oh my goodness! how did I miss this?

How interesting that our babies both had 'bum' surgeries in the same week.

Hope all is going well for your little one!
