Every Day Should Be Wednesday

Yesterday was perfection.

Per. fec. tion.

My incredibly sweet friend Camie (who I cannot link since she doesn't have a blog) offered to take my girls because she felt like I needed "a break." EVERY mother needs a break, but her offer was so sweet and sincere that I immediately took her up on it.

I was on my own from 9:30 until 1:30.

I know!

I called my mom once I had dropped Squish off because I was literally giddy with the idea of doing whatever I wanted for 4 whole hours. It was amazing.

Here's how I spent my time:

*First I headed to TJ Maxx because I never really get to look at everything there and come on, it's TJ Maxx for Pete's sake! I found a great deal on some curtains for my kitchen and some new blush. Love it!

*Then I went next door to Bed, Bath & Beyond where I found a screaming deal on a kitchen island my mother has been searching for and a new bed skirt for $7.50. For a king size bed! It's exactly what I needed so I'm super stoked for that. I also bought a set of Apothecary jars which I've been wanting for our new TV cabinet and they are perfect.

*Following that, I headed to Target because you can never really get enough Target. I briefly browsed maternity, headed to shoes, but spent most of my time in the Global Bazaar. There I found some great things to put in my apothecary jars so it was another successful trip. I also grabbed Spence some basketball shorts because the ones he's been wearing look like tighty whities, and on a kid as skinny as Spence, it's not a good look.

*Finally I treated myself to lunch at Taco Time, which, although it doesn't really sound like a treat, was because it's one of the things I've been craving the most this pregnancy. Delish!

When I picked up the kids, I could not thank Camie enough for her generosity. It was such a lovely day and I felt truly refreshed for having had the break. Unfortunately, I can't wait to do it again!

Thanks Camie! You rock!

Yes, if every Wednesday was like that for me, then I'd want every day to be Wednesday. What a fun time to go shopping and just have fun finding good deals on items. That sounds heavenly! I need a break too. What's Cami's number?? Haha! J/K. You can keep her for yourself! Glad your day was nice and relaxing and full of great deals!!!
