My Four Day Weekend

Spencer has a sore throat and yucky cough.

Sienna has a runny nose and yucky cough.

Hannah wants more Eggos.

We're off to a mighty fine start here this frigid Tuesday morning.

Spence actually asked if it would be okay to stay home from school today and rest. I immediately responded "no problem." That kid loves school so much that I never have to question his motives. If he says he's sick, he is S-I-C-K. He promised me that he won't be "wild" today which is hilarious because that child is rarely wild, but that he would just rest, watching movies, doing some reading, you know, the stuff of most 84-year-old men. He then asked me to email his teacher and get his assignments for the day because, you know, he didn't want to get behind.

I wish he was running for President in 2008.

In other news, Sienna has yet to figure out how to BLOW HER NOSE so we're flying through Kleenex at an alarming rate. I've tried everything I can think of to get her to blow, with force, into the tissue, but no luck yet. I need to call my dad for a restock.

I was hoping to start prepping my room for painting today as I have FINALLY figured out what I want to do but with all the sickies, we'll have to see. It's bold, it's brazen, but I'm stoked. I'll take some before and after photos so you can get the full Color Splash effect.

Don't forget about this tonight. Everyone comments on how yummy my house smells and it's because of this cool stuff.

Oh, and check this out. My awesome custom order was hand delivered in the cutest packaging ever this weekend and I'm already wondering how I survived without it.

I would end with "Happy Tuesday" or something like that, but we all know I can't. So have a good day. Or whatever. That is all.

Sorry about the sick kids. That sucks. I'm curious about your room though. Are you going to tell us what color it is or are we going to have to wait to see the before and after?

Spencer and Macy are meant for each other. She came home from school last week saying she felt sick all day but that she didn't go to the nurses office because she "just wanted to learn." Seriously, this cannot be my child.
Hope everyone feels better soon, and I can't wait to see the before and after pics. But I'm trying to figure out exactly what you bought from Dandee Designs!

Sorry about the sickies...that is NO fun. Hope everyone is feeling better soon! What exactly is making your house smell so yummy? I need to know. Good luck with the new paint color, sounds intriguing...I need to know that too.

Stay up late tonight or set your DVR to record HGTV at 11 pm because my friends, Suzan and Shaun, are on "My House Is Worth What?" Crazy.

Have a wonderful day, maybe today's the day Sienna will master blowing her nose.

"the stuff of most 84 year old men"

That was so funny.

I wish Spencer was running for president too because as of late, I don't want to give my vote to any of the candidates.

I hope you all get well really soon!

Sick kids are never fun (at least in my house). I can totally sympathize! All of my kids (that includes Karl) are home today sick! So much for my original TO DO list. Oh well at least you aren't sick too that would just stink! I am really looking forward to your before and after shots. Good luck I hope it turns out just the way you want it to.

Can't wait to see your finished room. You've got me curious with the brazen and bold description. Hope your kids feel better soon!

Ooh! Can't wait to see the room makeover! Hope the kids get feeling better. Yeah, what did you order from dandee designs?

I ordered the large clothespin and I'm using it in my kitchen to hold my recipes, since they're all on 4 x 6 cards. Brilliant!
