I Heart Blogging/I Hate Long Doctor's Visits

First of all, I cannot thank you all enough for your kind words yesterday. I really didn't mean for it to turn into a post where you all needed to shower me with praise, which you did above and beyond, but it definitely kicked me out of my slump and I'm feeling so much better. I've always known that I've been surrounded by amazing women for a reason, and you all proved it to me again yesterday. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

On the flip side of things, we all just got back from a THREE HOUR DOCTOR'S appointment for Spence and it turns out my sweet boy has pneumonia. I know, I was just as shocked. He looks so pathetic, all sallow with sunken eyes, but the doc assured me that kids respond well to treatment and he should be feeling a lot better soon. Actually, he doesn't feel all that bad...he's just incredibly tired and has no appetite. Which brings us to his second issue which is anemia. The poor child hasn't had an appetite in days and he's so skinny that he has no reserves and since we've been out of vitamins for about three weeks, we now have anemic man. Ugh! I've been ordered to "keep him down" through Sunday and hope that he can return to school next Tuesday or Wednesday. He is SO SAD about missing that much school. He's already asked me to call his teacher and go pick up some work for him so he doesn't get behind. Seriously. Perfection, that one. So if anyone needs me, I WILL BE AT HOME INDEFINITELY. I may be calling some of you to borrow some movies, but other than that, we'll be okay.

(Don't judge him for the Winnie the Pooh blanket. It's warm and I made him use it!)

Again, thanks for everything. You guys rock.

I'm so sorry that Spence is so sick. That is horrible. I hope he starts to get better soon. And seriously, do those Dr.'s understand how long we wait for them? I hate LONG Dr. appts. and they happen too often for me! Good Luck this week!

He looks so miserable in that picture, I really hope he gets feeling better soon. I remember the feeling of hating to miss school and everything that was going on.

Oh man...that is awful about Spence. Hope he feels better SOON!

Love the new pictures in your slideshow... especially the one of Hannah and Sienna watching their baked goodies in the oven while wearing their aprons. So cute!

Oh, that is so sad. Little boys as cute as him should NEVER have to be sick. I am wishing him a speedy recovery.
