A HUGE Sigh of Relief

We survived the weekend, some of us better than others. Michele snapped her collar bone in her tournament on Saturday and spent the rest of the weekend all splinted up. It's a bummer for sure, but she is a total trooper and will be back to normal soon.

And I survived the school Halloween party thanks entirely to some amazing friends. Seriously, my friends are PHENOMENAL. I never would have made it through without them and I am so incredibly thankful. Lindsay, Tiffani, Cindy, Tracy, Camie, Kristen and Michele...there are very special spots saved for you in heaven. I cannot thank you enough!

And to my amazing kiddos, Spence and Hannah, who sang a perfect duet yesterday in the primary program at church. This was a HUGE thing for them as they were both incredibly nervous about it, but after months of practice, I am pleased to announce that they did awesome. Doing something new and hard can be scary but they left both Brad and I with tears in our eyes. It was incredibly sweet. And as a special surprise for a job well done, we will be enjoying a family date later today. Details to come tomorrow....

I literally feel like a weight has been lifted since we made it through this weekend. I am so thankful for all the help I've received and am ready to go for the great week ahead. Pumpkin carving, special treats, trick-or-treating, here we come!

I'm so glad we had Spencer and Hannah sing in our program. They both have such sweet little personalities and it made yesterday extra great! Thanks so much for practicing with them.

Glad you survived your busy weekend. This week is going to be crazy, but should be fun too.

Spencer and Hannah did so good. It was so cute watching them walk up to the podium with their arms folded. Too cute! LOVED IT!

I bet it was great seeing your kiddos sing.

What the heck kind of tournament was Michelle doing?

Poor Michele...that is awful! That must have been some frizbee.

Congrats on a such a successful Halloween school bash, good friends are the best!

And give Hannah and Spencer a high five from me for their big singing debut. Sounds like a sweet performance.

Love ya!

Ouch! Poor Michele!!

I thought the Halloween party turned out great, and I was happy to be able to help. I have two favorite parts. You already know them, but I'll share with everyone else.

1. Dad guy coming and helping himself to the candy bars....that were meant for the KIDS participating in the "cake walk". Nice.

2. Mom lady taking her 2 year old through the "cake walk" time after time, and walking away with at least 7 candy bars. When I repeated SEVERAL times that each child could win ONCE. Awesome.

It's actually quite funny to me now. The kids all had a great time, and I thought it all went smoothly.

I really wish I could have seen your kids sing yesterday. Knowing how nervous they were, I'm so proud of them for doing it!

Oh, and I've been seeing your beautiful children's faces on the telly! They are so stinkin' cute!
