Donut Friday Has Been Replaced....

...with Viera's Bakery Saturday. (Brad's idea)

It just opened up and is filled with things like cream cheese and strawberry stuffed croissants, superb turnovers in every flavor, and jalapeno and cheese rolls.

The also have a tortilla factory with fresh little numbers coming right out of the oven.

Not so good for my waistline but fantastic for my tastebuds.

Everyone local please go, so the little bakery on the corner will thrive and stay open for me and my family.

Thanks.

I wanted to try that place yesterday but didn't have a chance. Let's just say I'm glad that it opened the last 2 months of my pregnancy. I will be there enough to help keep it open! :)

My brother and sister-in-law brought us each a doughnut this morning. I think we could have split one between the four of us, they are so huge! It is wonderful to see a small business grow, especially during these tough economic times. I second your plea that people support these local and family owned shops. It is why Big Burrito and La Villa Espresso are some of my regular stops.

Thanks for visiting my blog Karen:)

I go to Viera's downtown ALL the time. I am beyond excited that there is one in our neck of the woods, too. Try the pineapple empanadas, YUUUUMMMMM!!! Kayla said that her friend from class, Soledad, grandparents own them both.

I agree with Karen, everyone go and help keep them open. You will not be dissapointed!!!

I almost wrecked my car on Saturday when I found saw the tortilla factory. Yah! I have missed fresh tortillas ever since Food Pavilion went out of business. Now I am hearing of things like pineapple empanadas..... Oh my there goes my diet.

I'm so glad they finally opened one up here! The farmer's market runs just weren't cutting it. I lived on those jalapeno cream cheese rolls when I was pregs with ella.

James and I have been secretly driving by at least once a week to see if it is open yet (I swear that building took forever to build!!)
I am so happy that it is open! It is always a MUST during the summer at the farmers market....I will try my hardest to make sure that it stays open for you :)

Can't wait for some fresh tortillas, hopefully they sell fresh tortilla chips too. We'll have to stop in this week and check it out - not so good for the weight loss plans I guess, but oh well.

Ok, so for the sad Richland Gal, give me a location for this little piece of heaven. (I am so craving this)
