Exhaustion

Two weeks ago, little man and I were doing this:

This morning, the picture was much the same although the hospital was different. Four and a half hours of ER time to treat Austin for dehydration thanks to a nasty bout of diarrhea and vomiting that WILL NOT go away. Add in bleeding from the hoo-hoo and the need for a catheter and you have one very sad little guy.

We are home now. I am feeling the same relief I felt two weeks ago. Thankful for doctors and medicines and making things better. Little man is upstairs taking a much needed nap with his bottle of Pedialyte tucked safely under his arm.

I am going to collapse into a nap of my own, sans the Pedialyte. All this parenting of sick kids is wearing me out.

Poor little Austin! I'm glad he's ok and you are home now and he's getting some rest. I hope you get some too - you are always doing so much to help everyone.

OH Karen, this is horrible. It reminds me of when we took Porter to the ER last year for the same thing. I'm so so sorry. It's the worst experience ever that I would never wish on anyone. I hope he gets feeling better soon and you get some rest yourself!
