Back To School Feast 2009

Menu:

Garlic Cheddar Rolls
Strawberry & Feta Spinach Salad
Chicken Fettuccine with Broccoli
Cake with Strawberry/Raspberry Filling & Cream Cheese Frosting

Once again inspired by this amazing woman, I took my own spin on my new favorite family tradition. The kids were overjoyed to get to eat at the pretty table, complete with the "fancy plates." I typed up our Family Goals for the year and we discussed them over our delicious meal. After dinner, I revealed our new system for the morning routines (more to come on that later...) and looked out over my little flock, all set to hit school as a 4th grader, a 1st grader, and a final year preschooler.

Life is indeed very good.

I love it! NieNie is simply amazing. I thought about doing this, but that's about as far as it went...maybe next year ;)

Your meal looks delicious, but even better than that, your sweet family looks so thrilled!

Yummo! Looks super tasty and fun. I was thinking of doing something fun like this for dinner tonight, I love your idea of going over family goals.

I should not be sitting at my desk blubbering right now. Why do I do this? Your feast looked beautiful and I know your children must feel so special with this new tradition.

BTW... I see on your list of books Belong To Me. I picked it up at the bookworm on clearance, I read it, then passed it to Sara, then onto Lorena and was going to recommend it to you! It is one of my new favorites. What did you think?

First of all that dinner looks divine!
I love this idea. What a fun way to get everyone in the family ready for back to school.

We're doing this too!! I love NieNie. She has inspired me in so many ways. Beautiful dinner. I'm so jealous your kids will eat all that delicious food! I think we're having some sort of breakfast for dinner, brinner. That's their favorite. We'll see. You'd think I'd have this all planned since it's tomorrow. But that's how I fly. By the seat of my pants.

Our family also adopted this lovely idea.

Your feast looks so yummy. I think my children were more excited about using our goblets than they were about the meal.
