The Christmas Letters, Day 3

Dear Sienna,

Hello sweet Sissy Daisy! For reasons I'm still not entirely sure, you've taken to calling me Mama Daisy and in return, you are Sissy Daisy. I don't know where your adorable little brain came up with it but I love it. It's one of the many slightly different but completely adorable things about you to love.

It's been interesting watching you figure out your path these last few months as both "big kids" have entered school full time. You're a bit lost without Hannah, which is lovely and sweet, but nothing makes you happier than having me all to yourself. Whenever Austin is asleep, you present another adventure for us to take off on and it frequently involves Dora and nail polish.

We have struggled a bit as you've gained your footing as a big kid and that fiercely independent streak you have will ONE DAY be a blessing I'm sure. You like nothing more than to be right and have it done your way and we're working hard to find the balance. I can say this sweet child; life with you is never boring.

And I'm so thankful for that.

You are completely in love with preschool and sing the praises of Ms. Kristen and Ms. Julie all day long. They are teaching you so many wonderful things and it's been fun to watch you form friendships that so closely mimic some of mine. Gia, Shea and Kaiya are your BFF's and you light up whenever you're together.

But the thing that lights me up? Your adorable face that changes so quickly and reveals everything about you. The way your eyes dance when you find yourself being clever or cloud over when you need me close. The way your smile stretches from ear to ear and makes everyone's day better. The way you love the things you love completely and keep me at the top of that list.

Merry Christmas Sissy Daisy.

Love,
Mama

I love a girl who knows what she wants and how she wants it done! A wonderful quality indeed. And equally wonderful that she has a mom who appreciates her for it!

Sienna truly is a "ray of sunshine" Karen! The mini-me Cameron Diaz herself!

It makes me so happy that Gia's heart is right there in that pack because I couldn't have hand-picked better BFF's for her myself.
