Vindication!

This morning was my second ultrasound to check on Baby's heart. All is well with his ticker but we did discover that he is, shockingly, a lot bigger than he should be. At 24 weeks, which is what I am today, he is measuring in at 29 weeks which most likely means one of the following:

I am brewing my very own chunky cold Medina.

I have gestational diabetes which is contributing to Massive Man.

or,

I am withholding enough amniotic fluid as to fill all the local reservoirs, as I did with Squish.

We will know more when I have my THIRD ultrasound in four weeks. At least it helps explain why I look this!

And, after eating enough food this past weekend to nourish a small country, I only gained four pounds for the month so a huge WOOHOO to me. I rock. Actually, I roll, but you know what I mean.

Karen you are so funny! I loved how you ROCK n Roll! You have a great sense of humor! You look great. I hope you don't have gestational diabetes, I've heard that's not fun. Either way, I'm glad you are healthy and feeling good! Good luck the next 4 weeks!

I can always count on you to make me laugh out loud.

Here's hoping your next ultrasound shows the little man swimming (who needs a pool?) comfortably in your belly and NO DIABETES.

WOOHOO on the four pounds! I'm pretty sure our omelet weighed more than that.

Dang girl, you are funny!

If any extra water is needed to fill Black Rock Reservoir, I'll send them your way!

Karen, you are hilarious. As for me, I ate my way through the month of February. I am not looking forward to my weigh in. I have no doubt that my badonk-a-donk butt (not my baby) will account for a majority of the increased poundage.

Hey, when your water breaks let us know so that we can grab our boat and go skiing. Congrats on the 4 pd. gain after eating the country of Turkey. You are on a roll.

4 lbs?? That's great! Good luck with the ultrasound.

4 pounds is nothing! Don't even sweat that. I think the last three months of my pregnancy with Morgan I gained 10 pounds each month. I wouldn't know what it's like to have a small baby. Maybe your new little guy is just really long and he's going to be a tall basketball player!

I love big babies:) You look so good it's almost depressing j/k :) I’m glad to hear you got your appetite back. Eating and not enjoying is so not fun! Thanks for the laugh I can always count on you.

You are so funny! Again I always know I can come here for a good laugh!
I really hope that mabye you do not have to deal with gestational diabetes. That would be miserable!

Well, as I recall, they thought all of your kids were going to be grande and they ended up normal size. You were HUGE with Hannah and couldn't even reach around your belly. You had to stand sideways at the counter to make dinner. With Sienna, the flood gates opened. I was there, I saw it...why do you think I was standing on the couch! I'm with Jan, dibs on the jet-ski.

I am hoping for the amniotic fluid option. And its sounds like from what everyone is saying is that you look fabo! I bet you do!

Doesn't EVERYBODY eat their way through winter? And, being pregnant too...you are doing great! I bet it made you feel at least a bits better to have a reason for measuring bigger.

You know, I LOVE reading your blog. You are a hoot (is that a super OLD word for a 28 year-old to use?)
Four pounds is awesome. That is ALL BABY, baby! I remember with my boys (only the first two, Brigam decided to spare me the astrinomical weight gain by coming 6 weeks early), I stopped FACING the scale when I stepped on it at the Dr.'s office once I hit 33 lbs. Not so bad 33 total, but kind of bad when you still have 2 months to go, ya know what I mean?
I think you look SO cute pregnant (and not pregnant). At least you look pregnant and nobody is asking you when you are going to have your next child when you are already 7 months pregnant (yeah, really, some UNINFORMED guy when I was prego with Mykie. Men should be taught at an early age to NOT to say anything about a woman and pregnancy until they see her feet in stirups! Sorry for the visual, but any woman that has been asked when their baby is due when they haven't even been THINKING of getting pregnant will understand me completely!)
