Sometimes...

....you just need to skip school and have a date with Mom.

...discover that Boysenberry syrup is superior to all the other syrups.

...talk about how you love the story you're writing at school, the one about Christmas at the White House. 29 inches of snow and they've been stuck inside for two weeks? Can't wait to see what happens next.

...reveal that your favorite book is Hatchet, favorite color is red, favorite song is "I Gotta Feeling" and favorite thing to do is play outside with the neighborhood kids.

...you need to look into your child's eyes and be completely in awe of who they are becoming.

...remember that it's moments like these that make a childhood.

Thanks for the date buddy. I loved every second.

I can't show my kids this post because they'll be insanely jealous that you're not their mother.

You are awesome!

Ahh, Spencer's dimples just kill me! How fun are you! I bet he felt really special to have that one on one time.

You're an amazing mother. I need to follow your example and steal my children away from the school.

I think playing hookie can be a very healthy thing every once in a while....especially when it involves Ihop. Yum.
